Read Shun Everything Which May Prove an Occasion of Sin.
- Do you regularly spend time with people or in places which tempt you to sin? When considering an activity, do you ask, “What is wrong with it?”, or, “What is right with it?”
- If you find yourself watching, reading, or listening to something bad, do you get out of that situation? Do you realize that you always have a choice, even if it means physically leaving where you are?
- How do you respond to temptation? Do you seek to avoid temptation as much as possible, but when it does come, do you immediately turn it away and set your mind on the Lord?

Read Break Off Every Known Sin.
- What sinful habits do you have which you need to break off?
- Do you find yourself doing things that you know are wrong and then regret it later? What do you need to do to stop that from happening?

- Give an example of someone who began with “little sins” and ended up with a ruined life.

Read Never Make an Intimate Friend of Anyone Who is Not a Friend of God.
- Read the story of Amnon and Tamar in 2 Samuel 13:1-20 and notice the effect Amnon’s friend Jonadab had on him. Comment on 1 Corinthians 15:33.
- What qualities do you look for in a wife? Are they things that will help your relationship with Christ and service for Him?
